ever wanted to create television quality
broadcasts, and thought it was out of your league,
then think again! Adobe Visual Communicator 3 is
here, originally developed by Serious Magic, Adobe
bought them out in late 2006 and now they have this
new release.
My first thought was wow! they have made this even easier than version 2, and if you have used the previous version then you have by now got the right set up, but if you are new then you need certain other equipment to make it work:
1/ Green Screen
2/ Camcorder Or Web Cam
3/ Microphone
Once you have set up a chroma key screen and fixed your video camera correctly above your PC monitor, as well as fixed a microphone in place then you are all set to use the software. There is a handy wizard in the application that guides you in setting up your broadcast project, the key of course is too generate as much light as possible so that it can assist the application to extract the user from his original background, and produce good quality results. Adobe Visual Communicator 3 is simply the application to use, its easy to and full of good features and benefits. After installation and then activating the product you see that everything is wizard driven by simply filling in fields and selecting the various options available to you. Also there are first class themes for specific types of projects this speeds up the process no end. The content provided in Adobe VC3 is pro-quality and what’s more is royalty free, you can use any image or video for your project and has all you need to really wow your audience.
However when observing the interface instead of seeing the standard timeline we are all used to, VC3 presents a different appearance, a vertical drop zone to place all your media into. After a few goes of trying to position your chosen content to match the words you want to say it becomes easier to the user. it is all the case of drag and drop. In between that and the screen is the built in tele-prompter, this is a real bonus by simply typing in what you want to say, or copying and pasting from a word processing file we have a script or outline ready to present. By reading from the red line at the top of the tele-prompter your eyes should be perfectly positioned for the final output, No trying to remember what you are going to say, its there right in front of you all the time.
Thanks to Adobe Visual Communicator 3 professional presentation is made easy, anybody could do it. So if you are a business person an educator or just want to get your point across then this is a must have tool. The only downer is that it is not available to a Mac user, Well I must admit I did try it on Leopard 10.5.2 Bootcamp, and it worked fine, but if you use the built in camera be prepared not get more then 640 X 480 out of it.
