When I first saw this program I immediately thought of the perverted cretins that surf the illegal sites and I wrongly thought this program was more up their street, but the more I thought about it the larger identity theft loomed in my head. I suddenly became wary of my IP address being there for all to see. Put this together with your home address, prices of property in your area, bank details, and your shopping habits and well, who knows you may be paid a visit.
Now, before I completely scare myself to death and install a ‘panic room’ Cyberghost ensure us that their software will deal with the problem economically and effortlessly.
The CyberGhost client software connects you with an online server via a so-called tunnel that transmits all data in encrypted form, currently giving you 100% protection from eavesdroppers. The Internet pages you visit only see the address of the VPN server, not your private IP address. In this way, you are ensured total anonymity.
The connection occurs in two steps. First a connection is created using 1024-bit SSL encryption. Then a unique 128-bit AES key is produced through which your data transmission takes place.
Log in, click "connect," and begin to surf anonymously!
There is a basic and a premium service although both services deliver the same amount of anonymity. The basic version for which there is no subscription may give you a slower connection and your maximum monthly data throughput will be limited to 10GB plus to finance the free basic service ad windows will appear periodically. For the premium service there is a payment choice. One month: £8.00, three months: £20.00, six months: £31.00 and for one year: £55.00
The problem isn’t going to go away, so a trial subscription with Cyberghost is definitely worth thinking about.

Everyone likes to be alone sometimes but on the internet you are never truly alone. Continually there is someone tracking where you have been, who you have been talking to, who you bank with, and what you spend your money on to name just a few things. Let’s face it, if in our day to day lives a stranger came up to us and started following us around with a note book we’d tell them to get lost but the problem with the internet is that the stranger is invisible yet never the less still there with their notebook gathering their market research to make money out of our habits. Now, before you become completely computer phobic there are ways of stopping these probing morons in their tracks.
CyberGhost’s remote access software product from Simon Tools will let you disappear off the face of the internet highway allowing you to be a free spirit on the web. I guess it’s a bit like walking around with a false beard and nose so nobody recognises you. With Cyberghost the internet pages you visit will only show the address of the vpn server of Cyber Ghost and not your own personal internet address thus ensuring your anonymity.
