Portrait
Professional is simply the very best program
available for enhancing photographs of people. Solo
shots or in a group, one by one everyone can have
the PP treatment whether it be removing the odd
wrinkle, removing every wrinkle, removing bags
under the eyes, teeth whitening, giving an extra
sparkle to the eyes, lengthen the neck, streamline
the jaw, re-colour the hair, change the colour of
the eyes the list of adjustments you can do
is endless. Photoshop of course can achieve this as
well but cannot match the speed and ease of use
that Portrait Professional can accomplish. Portrait
Professional is also very well priced.
With Portrait Professional you needn’t be a computer buff to produce beautiful people pix. People always love to see good photos of themselves (even if they don’t admit it) and because the improvements you make can be subtle yet effective nobody actually thinks the pictures have been doctored.
Never ever has the phrase ‘really simple to use’ been so appropriate.
1. Just open the program click on the start button and choose your photograph.
2. Click on male or female and you’re ready to roll.
3. Click on key points on the face which Portrait Professional takes you through step by step.
4. Adjust the key points around the eyes, nose, forehead, eyebrows and chin all of which are clearly marked for you. Press the space bar and within seconds a new, beautifully enhanced version will appear.
The original version is placed alongside the enhanced version for you to decide if you would like to make further improvements. If you are not happy with the result you can go back and reposition the points. Portrait Professional will ask you if there is another face in the photograph you would like to enhance then you can continue or save your photo.
There are sliders for every part of the face and hair and when you have finished improving your shot you can then use the picture control sliders to adjust the whole photograph.
If you are remotely interested in taking photographs of people whether it be home snaps or as a professional snapper I urge you to download the trial and I can guarantee that way before the trial ends you will purchase a copy, and like me, always have a version on your desktop. Everyone will love you taking their photograph because with Portrait Professional you will never deliver a naff shot. The instructions are so clear and whether you want to give a full glamorous makeover or just a bit of tweaking Portrait Professional takes you through every step.
The software is available in two versions: Portrait Professional 8, the standard version which works on JPEG and TIFF files (£39.95), and Portrait Professional 8 Studio (£59.95), which can handle 16-bit Camera RAW files.
Does the camera ever lie, you bet it does but they can be little white lies or big fat whoppers, it is entirely up to you…… and Portrait Professional.

Anthropics Portrait Professional 8.0 Review
Every once in a while you come across a piece
of software that really stands out from the crowd.
Portrait Professional not only stands out, but is
head, shoulders and torso different.
The software has one simple goal– to make peoples’ faces look better. I have tried this with a number of programs, but to be honest, it has been hard work. For one wedding assignment, where the outdoor winter shots made the bride look like she had just walked out of a freezer, it took immense patience and skill to bring her back to her radiant best. I wish I had known about Portrait Professional back then. This program really does work – and its guided steps make the whole process as easy as 1-2-3. Actually, it is 1-2-3-4.
